ABOUT ME
Small, locally owned business located in South Huntsville. I was installing tops at Rod's Custom Upholstery, but due to retirements, the upholstery shop there has now been closed.
Contact for me for all convertible top replacement needs. I am a distributor/installer for Robbins, EZ On, Kee, OEM+ and GAHH tops.

Nissan Z cars(these vehicles have major frame issues)

I do not work on sunroofs or replace headliners in non-convertible vehicles.

I cannot turn your hardtop vehicle into a convertible.
1 year warranty on labor. Manufacturer warranty for convertible tops(most have 5 year warranties).

I require a deposit for the price of top, seat cover kit, or carpet when ordered. All final charges due at time of pickup. 3% fee for credit card payments.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the process to get a top ordered and to schedule replacement?
I need this information when you contact me: Year/Make/Model/Top Color/Top Material (fabric or vinyl)/Heated or Non-Heated Back Glass. Also, your top frame needs to be in good working order. I will discuss options and price with you. I do not keep inventory to keep mine and your costs low. I can get most tops in 3 days. I will need a down payment for the price of top to order. You will pay me for labor when you pick up your car. I only install tops from my listed suppliers purchased through me. For any returns due to wrong color choice or incorrect vehicle information provided by the customer, there will be a 20% re-stock fee plus actual Fedex shipping charge.
How long does it take to replace a convertible top?
Most vehicles take 2-3 days. I will not have keep your car for 6 weeks.
How long should the top stay closed after replacement?
When a convertible top is replaced, it is necessary to have a "break-in" period for any new top. I recommend a break-in period of two weeks in warm weather and 3-4 weeks in cold weather. Once installed on the car, convertible top materials stretch. This stretching process takes 2 – 4 weeks. Once the top stretches out, it should have a nice tight look. For best results, it is important for the stretch process to happen without interruption. As the top stretches out in some places, it will tighten up in others.
The back glass is coming loose from my top, can you glue it back in?
The short answer is NO! This is a liability issue. I do not make any exceptions.
How do I care for and protect my new convertible top?
Most top manufacturers recommend 303 Convertible Top Care Kit - Fabric or Vinyl. This can be purchased on Amazon. Convertibles need to be hand washed and should never be taken through an automatic car wash.
How often do convertible tops need to be replaced?
The average life of a convertible top is about ten years, depending on its exposure to the elements and usage. Vinyl tops age differently than cloth tops. The manufacturers I use give you a 5 year warranty on the top.
Do you work with insurance companies?
No but if you have an insurance claim, I will give you a detailed estimate to provide to them.
Do you work on retractable hardtops?
No, those will need to go to a dealer. Any issues with them will probably be electrical in nature and I do not have the equipment for that. I can replace pump motors and cylinders on some soft top vehicles.
